Stonemason To The Rescue At CemeteryA VANDALISED vault in Blackburn Cemetery has been repaired for free by local stonemasons.
Brent Stevenson Memorials were asked to look at the damage to the family monument by Blackburn with Darwen Council, after a member of public reported seeing two teenagers lifting the vault cover.
Three employees from the firm based in Cherry Tree replaced the cover and refixed the side kerbs in an hour. Mr Stevenson said: "This shows that to re-erect a memorial making it both safe and respectable does not take very long or cost a fortune. "In this particular case were only too happy to make good of the memorial free of charge. "As a local company Brent Stevenson Memorials is happy to play its part in not letting the vandals win.
