Accrington Cremation Wedges are a popular memorial option available to our customers at Brent Stevenson Memorials. These cremated remains memorials are specifically designed for Accrington Cemetery & Crematorium. They are granite tablets sometimes referred to as a Desk & Base.

Q, How much does the wedge cost?

Accrington Cremation Wedges are £345 inclusive of ALL lettering, fixing & V.A.T. The upgraded option with the additional top vase is £445, please see image above.

The only additional cost on top of the prices above is the cemetery fee of £54.

Q, Who owns the wedge?

The wedges are always owned by the customer.

Q, Do I have a choice of colour for the wedge?

Yes, a variety of our different granites are allowed – please see our granite colours page within our brochure, view our online website or visit our showroom.

Both our Black and Sea Grey coloured granites remain the most popular choices.

Q, Do I have a choice with the colour of the lettering / inscription?

Yes, you have the option of our Silver Grey (off white) paint, Yellow paint or Gilded (gold leaf). However we do recommend Silver Grey paint which is our most popular option with the best weather durability.

Q, Can I put more than one person on the wedge, either now or in the future?

Yes, the wedges can accommodate up to two names. Further advice and a no obligation scale drawing can be produced allowing you to visualise how the final memorial will look which can then be shared between family and friends.

Q, How many lines of text will fit onto my Cremation Wedge?

We would recommend approximately 6 lines of text for a Cremation Wedge and an additional 6 lines of text on the optional top vase; as a guide. However please contact us with your desired inscription and our professional design team will be able to advise you further.

Q, Can I have additional designs or a photo plaque placed on the Cremation Wedge?

Yes, but these will incur an extra charge. Please contact our friendly office team for further advice on 01254 202019.

Q, Where are the ashes plot located in Accrington Cemetery?

Enter the cemetery through the main gates, after 10 yards turn left onto the first road, the ashes plot is on the left hand side, after the lodge house, backing onto Burnley Road.

Q, Can I choose my preferred plot for the wedge?

No, the cemetery will allocate the next available plot.

Q, Can I bury my ashes nearby?

Yes, you are able to bury the ashes in front of the wedge but this must be arranged with the cemetery office. If you require this service or have not already purchased a plot please contact Hyndburn Borough Council cemetery office on 01254 232933 for further information.
